DESCRIPTION OF THE FILM:
The film’s protagonist undergoes a therapy in the tradition of Bert Hellinger’s Systemic Constellations, used as an attempt to solve her family issues. During this extremely emotional therapy, she tries to understand the cause of her suffering and free herself. What happens in her therapeutic group helps her find the sources of her suffering in the past of her family. The world of the protagonist’s internal experiences is illustrated by surreal images.
This film study won, among others, honorable mentions at the "Youths and Film" Koszalin Film Debut Festival "for madness, courage and sense of humour", as well as at the Łódź Film School Film Festival "Łodzią po Wiśle" (“Łódź on the Vistula") for "moving, full of emotions movie".
INFORMATION ABOUT THE ARTISTS:
Aniela Gabryel - director. Born in Wrocław in 1985. Studied the History of Art at the Wrocław University and graduated from the Theory of Theatre at the Jagiellonian University, and directing at The Polish National Film School in Łódź. She has been awarded by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage for her artistic achievements. Her documentary “Lecieć-nie lecieć / To fly or not to fly” won Grand Prix in "Vienna Independent Shorts", received Artur Liebhart special award, and is on the list of Top European Shorts of 2014. Her short films have been screened and recognized during national and international film festivals.
